FAQ

Continuing professional development (CPD) credits

Are there other opportunities to earn CPD credits through my subscription to the Self Learning program?

Yes! Other opportunities to earn credits through Mainpro+® include:

  • Linking Learning exercises: Linking Learning exercises are self-administered, semi-structured exercises. You can submit a Linking Learning to Practice exercise for Self Learning or, if you use Self Learning as a teaching tool, consider completing a Linking Learning to Teaching form. Each completed Linking Learning exercise earns five Mainpro+® credits and there is no limit to the number of exercises you may complete in a cycle. For more information, visit http://www.cfpc.ca/Linking_Learning_exercises/
  • Pearls: Pearls™ is a program of evidence-based practice reflection exercises that facilitate the integration of new clinical knowledge into practice. If Self Learning content prompts you to formulate a specific question relevant to your practice, you can complete a Pearls exercise to find valid, reliable, and relevant answers to your clinical questions. It also prompts you to develop a plan for putting new information to work in your practice. Pearls exercises are eligible for six Mainpro+® certified credits and there is no limit to the number of exercises you may complete in a cycle.
